Spartan Cheerleading
Mission Statement:
The Round Lake Spartan Cheerleading program will introduce the sport of cheerleading; focusing our efforts on sportsmanship, team work, and responsibility. We are dedicated to the fundamentals of cheerleading along with creating a safe and positive experience that is organized and fun. Our program runs mid-July through November/December. We attend 2-3 locally held competitions each season.
Breakdown of Squads:
Varsity: 7th and 8th graders
Featherweight: 5th and 6th graders
Pee Wee: 4th graders
Bantam: 2nd and 3rd
Mascot: Start out your cheerleading career by learning the fundamentals. These squads are for the
youngest participants. All registrants must be in K or 1st grade at the onset of the
season.
Highlights from 2008 Season:
Our PeeWee & Feather cheer squads earned State Championship bids to the 2008 Inaugural IRCA State Competition. PeeWee came in 2nd place in their division and Feather placed 1st! This was an awesome event with over 60 teams competing for the titles.

Cost (All inclusive):
$350 includes:
warm up suit (jacket and pants)
2 pairs of shoes for games and competitions
hair bow
bloomers*
hair piece*
60 raffle tickets
$30 refundable volunteer fee
2008 cheerleaders can receive a discount if they have the items marked with an asterisk.
Up to 3 fundraisers will be done this season in order to help offset the cost of equipment and attending competitions. Parents may choose to opt out of fundraising by paying a $60 no hassle fundraising fee in addition to the registration cost.
